Unlike some cities around the UK, Nottingham is home to plenty of green spaces where you can escape from the outside world.
From the famous Arboretum to Colwick Country Park, we really are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding somewhere to close our eyes and relax.

It’s no secret that some of the city’s parks are more popular than others, but that’s not to say that the quieter green spaces aren’t worth visiting.
In fact, on hot summer days you’d do well to find somewhere secluded.
As you probably know by now, we at Nottingham World love nothing more than highlighting parts of the city you might not have visited before.

With exotic plants and even a waterfall, Highfields Park offers a similar vibe to the Arboretum.
Often confused with the University Park because of its close proximity to Nottingham University Campus, the 21-hectare site is a must-visit for those living in the west of the city.
