Upgrades will include repolishing of the floor, new wallpaper, and replaced signage.

The pub already features screens for live sports, a function room, and an outdoor area.

Its owner, Star Pubs, is the pub arm of Heineken UK.

The chain’s website says: “Explore the Waggon & Horses, strategically located along a bustling main road on the way into Arnold, a lively town just outside Nottingham.

“With limited competition in the area, notably against our main competitor, 'The Ram Inn,' this establishment attracts a diverse mix of midlife to mature, medium to high-income customers, making it an ideal choice for a premium local experience.”

Once refurbished, the Waggon and Horses will offer a wide selection of drinks, including Cask Ales, premium lagers and spirits.

Customers will be able to choose from a menu of pub classics, with buffet options available for events in the function space.

The Waggon and Horses has an impressive Google rating of 4.5/5 from 229 reviews.

According to Star Pubs, the Waggon and Horses has an estimated annual turnover of £498,300.

The chain is now looking for someone to run the pub after its refurbishment, who will also have access to private accommodation within the building.

The listing says: “If you’ve benefited from running or owning a pub business, we’d love to hear what experience you can bring.

“The right operator for the Waggon & Horses will have extensive experience in premium local hospitality businesses.

They will have a clear vision for their food & drinks menu, marketing strategy and entertainment offer and can create a memorable experience for their customers.”
