Wollaton Hall was built between 1580 and 1588 for Sir Francis Willoughby, a wealthy industrialist and coal owner.

Throughout its 435-year history, the hall has been a hotbed for paranormal sightings.

Most notably is the spirit of a lady in white, who has been seen exiting the rear of the Hall before making her way towards the orangery and then across to the stable block.

Haunted Heritage, which has held previous paranormal investigations at the hall, said: “Wollaton Hall is one of our most popular events.

“We have seen dark shadows, voices, faces at the window and noises from the upper floor when no one was there.”

Brave ghost-hunters will have access to areas including the cellars, Tudor Kitchen and hidden rooms.

Tickets for the event are priced at £45 and can be purchased here.
