Nottingham Winter Wonderland named in UK's top 10 most popular Christmas Markets

Nottingham's Winter Wonderland has been named in the UK's top 10 most popular Christmas markets.

According to data compiled by Diamond Trailers, Nottingham Winter Wonderland is one of the most Googled (searched for) Christmas markets in the country, joined by the likes of London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, and York.

And although on the whole it also ranks as one of the country's most affordable markets, it comes out as one of the pricier options for purchasing Christmas accoutrements. With the average cost of a mulled wine or pint pulling in at £5.50.

Nottingham's Winter Wonderland opened on November 7 and will run until December 31 in Old Market Square.

Cllr Pavlos Kotsonis, Nottingham City Council’s portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: “I am pleased that Winter Wonderland will be back at Old Market Square, once again offering an exciting centrepiece for Christmas in Nottingham for residents and visitors alike."
