Vicky McClure is asking the public to donate to a Nottingham school’s minibus fundraiser. 

The Trigger Point star posted a video message on Instagram yesterday (Tuesday, January 30), in which she shared details of the fundraiser for Brackenfield Special School in Long Eaton

Brackenfield Special School caters for children aged 3-16 with complex learning, communication, and physical needs.

The school has set-up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for a new minibus.

According to the GoFundMe page, the school currently has just one minibus to serve 18 classes.

McClure’s friend, Corrin Foster, is a teacher at the school and is set to run the Brighton Marathon in April to fund the appeal.

The 40-year-old, who grew up in Wollaton, explained to her 748,000 Instagram followers: “She’s running the Brighton Marathon to raise money for the school to get a minibus so they’re able to take the kids out to learn life skills

“They’re struggling to get the funds up so this is me sending a message to say good luck Corrin and also if you can help in any way i’ve posted the link below. Thank you very much.”

As of Wednesday, January 31, the appeal has raised £2,102 of its £30,000 target.
