The former railway station was built during the Victorian era to serve Gedling and Carlton, ultimately closing in 1960.
After opening in 1874, the station was used primarily by passengers travelling west into the city centre or east to Skegness and later served a nearby colliery.
The station is currently owned by a community group who intend to turn the building into a youth club.
