The tours on Saturday, February 24 and Saturday, March 23 quickly sold out after history-lovers jumped at the rare chance to experience the eerie catacombs.

Due to the high demand for tickets, three extra tours will take place on Thursday, February 29.

They will take place at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.

Tours will provide an introduction and background to the cemetery itself followed by a tour of the catacombs and Robin Hood’s Cave.

The catacombs, said to be one of the most haunted locations in Nottingham, opened to the public for the first time in 2019 and saw 500 people join the waiting list for tours.

Rock Cemetery, officially called Church Cemetery, opened in 1856 and is the final resting place for several notable people, including architect Watson Fothergill.

At the time of writing, there are 46 tickets available across the three tours on February 29.
