The 25 most dangerous places to live in the East Midlands have been revealed.
Security firm, Churchill Support Services has crunched the numbers to find out which towns and areas in the East Midlands have the most crime.
According to the data, the East Midlands has an overall crime rate of 83.8 crimes per 1000 people. Substantially lower than the West Midlands which has a rate of 95.1 offences.
413,572 offences were committed across the East Midlands last year, with violent crime and theft responsible for more than 70% of crimes.
You might be surprised to find that major cities like Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln and Leicester are overshadowed by some seemingly ‘sleepier’ places in the East Mids.
