For nearly five decades the Broadmarsh shopping centre was a cornerstone of retail in Nottingham.
Opening in 1975, Broadmarsh aimed to capitalise on an increased demand in the 1970s for US-style shopping centre complexes.
The centre brought dozens of outlets together in one place, meaning shoppers could spend more time (and money) browsing homeware, groceries, clothing and more.
But four-and-a-half decades after first welcoming shoppers, the Broadmarsh story was brought to an end as its owner Intu Properties entered administration.
The 20-acre site was subsequently handed to Nottingham City Council and demolished at a cost of £8 million a year later.
For 48 years Broadmarsh served the people of Nottingham , with millions of people passing through its doors.
We’re taking a look back at what Broadmarsh looked like in the 2000s.
These 10 photos are guaranteed to bring memories flooding back!
