A number of NTU students from the Centre for Broadcasting & Journalism are supporting the BBC throughout the day as runners, with hundreds of national journalists expected to attend the debate.

Hosted by Mishal Husain, the special programme will air on BBC One tonight at 8.15pm.

It will be the final televised debate between the two leaders before the general election next Thursday (July 4).

The debate presents the final chance for Mr Sunak and Mr Starmer to get their messages across the voters before millions go to the polls.

Viewers can watch the debate on BBC One, BBC News or iPlayer.
