An exact date for the cafe’s opening has not yet been confirmed, but it’s likely to be later this summer.

The retail park’s Frankie and Benny’s restaurant closed in 2020 as the chain struggled to recover from the Covid pandemic.

But now the vacant unit is set to be transformed by the luxury chocolate brand, creating around 15 jobs.

Hotel Chocolat has around 130 stores in the UK, including one in Nottingham city centre.

Hotel Chocolat is now owned by American confectionery giant Mars, having been purchased for £534 million last year.
