Roxy Lanes: First look inside new Nottingham venue with karaoke, bowling and beer pong

Final preparations are underway for the grand opening of the new Roxy Lanes entertainment complex in Nottingham city centre.

The new family-friendly venue, located on the ground floor of The Pod, next to the Lace Market tram stop, will open on Friday (June 28).

With ten-pin bowling, pool, curling, and even two karaoke rooms, the complex is set to be a vibrant addition to the Lace Market.

Unlike Roxy Lanes’ sister site, Roxy Ball Room at The Cornerhouse, the Lace Market venue will be open to all ages until 7pm.

Alongside Roxy Lanes’ usual array of games, the venue will also screen live sports, including Euro 2024.

Nottingham World has been given an exclusive tour of Roxy Lanes before its grand opening on Friday (June 18).

When we visited the site on Wednesday (June 26) staff were busy putting the final touches to the venue, which was formerly a gym. 

Aleksandra Michalik, junior marketing manager at Roxy Leisure, told Nottingham World: “People already know The Cornerhouse but obviously Roxy Lanes is a little bit different, like with showing sports.

“We’re really excited for the opening. Alongside the traditional games, we’ve also got ten-pin bowling with ten full-sized lanes and beer pong.

“The private karaoke rooms are spaces where people can unleash their inner rock star!”

The new site also features a photo booth, where visitors can pose for polaroid-style snaps which are then printed out.

All tables and activity sites within the venue allow visitors to order directly without visiting the bar.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book activities online to avoid disappointment.
